With lush rainforest, dramatic mountains and sheltered bays fringed with white sand beaches, the Windward Islands are strewn down the eastern Caribbean stretching from Martinique, St Lucia, St Vincent, and Barbados, to the Grenadines and Grenada.
With its tropical mountain scenery and famous towering Pitons, the island of St Lucia has a combination of Creole, French, and English influences, creating a colourful ambience. Neighbouring St Vicent is an island of towering mountains and dramatic precipices dressed in a tangle of dense green forest. The idyllic islands of Grenadines, strung out between St Vincent in the North and the spice island of Grenada in the south, are a haven for the waterborne. Grenada, with its picturesque hillside capital of St George, has a serene pace of life, whilst the most easterly of the Caribbean Islands, Barbados, has a quaint British air.Send to a friend Contact Us Share
